Alaska Trip, page 2

We climbed up to Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park.

We took the Kenai Fjords boat ride, and saw some amazing glaciers. At Aialik Glacier, the captain turned off the engines and we could hear the ice groaning and cracking. Part of the trip was spent rescuing some kayakers who had overturned in the bay. The boat ride left from the town of Seward, the fun capital of Alaska.

We saw lots of wildlife during the trip, including grizzly bears, moose, caribou, Dall sheep, red fox, lynx, humpback whale, harbor seals, sea otters, stellar sea lions, bald eagles, puffins.

For some strange reason, we decided that it was important to check out Alaska's postal facilities.

Alaska has many modes of transportation, including snowmobile (no surprise), Checker limousine (this would do well in NYC), and track drive pickup truck.
